No money taken in second attempted bank robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police investigating two attempted bank robberies at Wells Fargo branches on Monday said the suspect in both cases has a similar description.

Money was not taken in either robbery.

The most recent was at the Wells Fargo on Philips Highway and Emerson Street.

The first occurred at the Wells Fargo off Edgewood Avenue and Lem Turner Road in northwest Jacksonville before noon.

Police said a man entered the bank, demanded money, then left after a teller told him he needed to fill out a withdrawal slip.
