JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – People living in certain areas of the Northside and Westside will soon receive new recycling bins.

Advanced Disposal announced an upgrade to 96-gallon wheeled carts for its customers in select zip codes in those areas.

Carts are being delivered to homes now through Monday, March 7.

“We are pleased to upgrade your recycling program in north and west side Jacksonville communities.  The new 96-gallon, wheeled carts offer more storage capacity while allowing residents to recycle more items, all leading to a cleaner and greener city,” stated District Manager, Todd Strong. “Just toss your recyclables into the cart, roll them to the curb and you’re done – it’s that easy!”

Beginning Monday, residents should place recyclables in the carts for curbside collection every other week.

Accepted recyclables can be mixed together in the cart.

Carts reduce the amount of recycling that is blown by the wind or disturbed by animals.

The collection schedule will be posted here on Friday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m.
