JSO wants to rule out abduction after fight

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in identifying people who were in a fight in Westside Jacksonville Thursday evening.

Police said at 5:30 p.m. officers responded to the parking lot of a Burger King on Commonwealth Avenue  in reference to a fight and possible abduction.

When officers arrived, all of the people involved in the scuffle had left the area. The person who called police, as well as several witnesses were interviewed about the incident.

The interviews led investigators to believe that no abduction occurred during the fight, which was captured on a cellphone video by a person of the business.

As a precaution, JSO is releasing the video in an effort to ensure that there was no abduction and that the people captured on the video were only involved in the physical altercation.

If you know the identity of the people in the video or have any information about this incident you’re asked to the JSO at 904-630-0500.
