MAD DADS walk for murdered couple

Walk for George Ashley and Brittany White

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Family and friends are still hoping for an arrest in the shooting death of a young couple in January. It happened on Westbrook Circle.

Twenty-six-year-old George Ashley and 21-year-old Brittany White were shot to death while sitting in their car. MAD DADS knocked on doors and asked people what they know about what happened the day of the shooting.

"I'm asking and I'm pleading. I just need answers. I want answers so I can sleep better at night. That's all I'm asking" It makes me upset and makes me wonder why? What would make you do something like that in front of a child, said William Ashley, George Ashley's brother.

This is another family affected by the violent string of murders this year. Family members say the one positive thing in the situation is that the couple's child is safe and is doing well. George Ashley had two other daughters he left behind: an 11-year-old and a 4-year-old. George Ashley's family says he was a caring and loving person, and that there would be no reason that anyone would want to hurt him.

MAD DADS says they will continue to seek answers to help bring closure to the families.
Their fear is the person who killed George Ashley and White will kill again.

"It shows that these individuals have no regard for life. And they don't care who they do it in front of," said Donald Foy, with MAD DADS.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
