BRUNSWICK, Fla. – A mother and son are charged with aggravated assault after a fight that left three people shot and two people beaten, according to the Glynn County Police Department.
April Best, 38, was charged with aggravated battery, and her son, Zachary Best, 17, was charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault.

The two were involved in an incident Saturday in the area of Fifth and Gordon streets, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting and found 19-year-old Malik Pace laying in the street at Fifth and Johnston streets, suffering from gunshot wounds to the arm and back. He was taken to Southeast Georgia Health System.
Shaquail Ellis, 21, and Lamatthies Williams, 23, were found in the yard of 3508 Gordon St. Williams had a gunshot wound in the arm and Ellis had a gunshot wound in the hand, police said. They took themselves to a hospital, where they were treated and released.
Alexius Graham, 19, and Kendrick Green, 18, both suffered facial and head injuries, police said.
Police said the victims all knew the Bests, and the investigation is ongoing into what caused the fight.
