Police locate possible battery suspect


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police asked for the public's help to identify a man who might have been involved in a battery Wednesday afternoon in Arlington. They have since determined no crime occurred.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said officers were dispatched to Arlington Expressway near Mill Creek Road in reference to a battery. 

The investigation revealed a man was observed hitting a woman and then putting the woman in the back seat of a car described as a late 1990s white sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus.  

"At this time, we don’t know exactly what occurred," JSO spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda said. "We want to make contact with the individuals to ascertain safety."
