Missing Alachua County teen found safe

Phillip, 16, checked into UF Health

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – According to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, missing teen Phillip, 16, has been found.

Phillip was first reported missing Wednesday night. Police believed him to be endangered because of comments he made about harming himself.

Investigators said he left his home in the Hidden Oak Mobile Home Park off West University Avenue, near Tower Road in Gainesville.

Phillip was found early Thursday morning after detectives said he walked into UF Health Gainesville around 1 a.m.

He was checked into the hospital under the Baker Act.
