A hijacked EgyptAir plane landed safely Tuesday morning at the airport in Larnaka, according to a Cypriot government official.
Egyptian aviation authority said 55 passengers and five crew members were on board.

The airbus was flying from the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria to the capital, Cairo.
A second Cypriot official said they believe there’s more than one hijacker and are investigating suspicions of a bomb on board.
