Westside man shot while walking home
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for whoever shot another man on Greenland Avenue on the Westside.
According to police, the victim was walking home from work when the suspect got out of a car and asked the victim for a lighter. That's when a gun was pulled out and the man who was walking home was shot in the stomach.
He was taken to the hospital and is in surgery. Police say he is expected to recover.
JSO is looking for a dark colored sedan but do not have a description of the gunman. They believe there are at least two suspects.
