Man pleads not guilty to killing his boss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The man accused of shooting and killing his supervisor at a landscaping company last month pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of second-degree murder.

Ezequiel Lopez, 24, was arrested within minutes of the shooting of 55-year-old Andrew Little on March 9 at B&L Landscaping.    

 

Lopez told detectives that Little had disrespected him and paid him less than other employees.

 

Lopez is being held without bond. He is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on April 21.

 

Lopez is an illegal immigrant and is also under an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold at the jail.
