Man, 25, sentenced to 35 years in 2014 armed robbery
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man was sentenced to 35 years in prison, with a 10-year minimum mandatory, for his conviction on two counts of armed robbery, the State Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
In July 2014, two people were walking home from work when a silver car pulled out in front of them.
Danny Lamar Reed, 25, who was in the car with several others, robbed the victims of their personal belongings, prosecutors in Duval County said.
Reed ran from the scene but later turned himself in to police in Louisiana, prosecutors said.
