NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after receiving over 30 reports of auto burglaries in the Yulee area, authorities said.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, there have been 34 auto burglaries since March 1, which have taken place primarily in three neighborhoods -- Plummer Creek, Hickory Village and the Hideaway.
The suspects are targeting vehicles left unlocked, deputies said, and people are encourage to lock their cars and keep valuables out of view.
When News4Jax asked if they think the same person is breaking into the cars, detectives said, “We’re working on a couple of things right now.”
