JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –
Two teenage brothers helped prevent a house fire in East Arlington Friday.
Just after 5 p.m., Jacksonville Fire and Rescue received a call from the teens who saw a fire outside their next-door neighbor's home.
Firefighters said the boys grabbed a garden hose and together they sprayed the flames, which were in a flower bed next to the front door of the house.
A mother and several children were inside the home at the time and the flames got to the side of the house.
Zachary Wallace, 16, and Andrew Wallace, 14, were able to get the fire down to a smolder, along with the help of the father.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and JFRD responded within minutes and ensured the fire was completely out.
