Nearly 10-foot gator removed in St. Marys

9'7" alligator will be relocated to the Altamaha

ST. MARYS, Ga. – A nearly ten-foot alligator was removed from the side of the road in St. Marys on Tuesday.

The St. Marys Police Department posted two photos of the gator on its Facebook page.

It said the 9'7" gator was sitting off Kings Bay Road.

A wrangler with Georgia Department of Natural Resources arrived to remove the gator.

He will be relocated to the Altamaha.
