Man injured in possible BB gun shooting, deputies say

Investigators believe weapon used was BB or pellet gun

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Columbia County man was shot in the wrist Friday afternoon with possibly a BB gun or a pellet gun, authorities said.

Just before 3 p.m., the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said it was called to Tranquil Glen after receiving a call from a female who said her father had been shot in the wrist.

Stevie Clinton, 67, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

Investigators said they are talking with a person of interest.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
