Bicyclist airlifted after crash, firefighters say

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A bicyclist was airlifted Monday morning with serious injuries after a crash in St. Johns County, firefighters said.

The crash was reported near the bottom of the Francis Usina Memorial bridge (Vilano Bridge) about 8:20 a.m. Monday.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue crews and law enforcement arrived and found a bicyclist suffering from significant injuries following a crash, firefighters said.

The bicyclist was treated by SJCFR and was airlifted to UF Health Jacksonville in serious condition.

Law enforcement has investigators at the scene to investigate the crash.
