JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lifeguards rescued two people at Jacksonville Beach on Saturday due to heavy waves. They've also reported treating one Portuguese Man of War sting.

Capt. Rob Emahiser, with Jacksonville Beach Ocean Rescue, told News4jax lifeguards are extremely busy being proactive with beachgoers.

The tide is now outgoing, but Emahiser says swimmers still need to exercise caution.

St. Johns County lifeguards reported 13 rescues.
