Group helps community better understand how government works

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The ground ImpactJAX met Thursday night at Intuition Ale Works to try to get people to better understand how the government works.

People were invited to mingle then they sat down and acted as the House of Representatives and the Senate.

One of the organizers told News4Jax it's important, especially in an election year, to make sure people know how the government operates so they can cast an educated voted.

"This is just how is the sausage is made, how these bills get passed, and help people understand it over a beer," said Chris Warren, the director of government affairs at the University of North Florida.
