Because of the severity of her injuries, she was flown to UF Health in Gainesville.

Her doctors deemed Thursday she had no brain activity and she died on Friday.

Witnesses said Journee was playing and accidentally fell out of her crib, according to MCSO. However, the Medical Examiner ruled Journee's death as a homicide.

Detectives are speaking with witnesses and following up leads.
