JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An armed man robbed the SunTrust Bank on Baymeadows Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The man came into the bank about 12:20 p.m., approached a teller, displayed a firearm and demanded cash, Sgt. David Smith said.
The teller handed the man money, and he left the bank. He was last seen getting into the passenger side of full sized white four-door vehicle, Smith said.
The vehicle drove away onto Baymeadows Road in an unknown direction.
No one was injured in the robbery, Smith said.
The robber was described as a black man, approximately 6 feet tall, with a skinny build. He was wearing a dark colored two-piece sport suit, a light colored fedora with a brown or black strap, and dark colored sunglasses.
Smith said the man wore adhesive bandages across the bridge of his nose in an attempt to disguise his face.
Anyone with information about the identity or location of the robber is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
