Taliban claims responsibility for attack

As many as 30 were killed Thursday in a suicide attack on a bus carrying Afghanistan police trainees.

The Associated Press and other news organizations place the death total at 30 while several other news organizations say 27 were killed.

The attack took place west of Kabul. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in an email sent to The Associated Press.

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry confirmed the location of the attack but did not have any other details.
