Dangerous suspect wanted in food store shooting

Jacksonville police looking for Walter Lee Dumas

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police are searching for a man accused of shooting someone at a food store.

Walter Lee Dumas, 29, is wanted for attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm and auto theft.

His nickname is 'Slaughter,' according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The shooting occurred on Sunday, June 12 at Tafini Grocery on St. Augustine Road, south of Emerson Street.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Dumas fired three gunshots and the victim was hit. That person is expected to be okay.

Dumas is considered armed and dangerous.
