The family began searching for the child and found him in the pool.

Deputies said the family was having a hard time getting emergency services on the phone and drove to a fire station for help.

The 14-month-old child was airlifted to UF Health Shands Pediatric Emergency Room, where the child died.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, deputies said, but there appears to be no foul play.
