David Cameron's final day as Prime minister of the United Kingdom is Wednesday, as incoming Theresa May takes her place at the official London residence and office at 10 Downing Street.

Meanwhile, Larry the Cat is staying and remaining the Chief Mouser.

Larry's been at home at 10 Downing Street since 2011 when he was recruited from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home for his ability to catch mice. Larry later became the first official Chief Mouser of the residence.

Cameron resigned as Prime minister following the United Kingdom's vote to leave the European Union. Larry isn't the Cameron's pet, though. He will stay on as Theresa May replaces Cameron.

"It's a civil servant's cat and does not belong to the Camerons - he will be staying," a government spokesman told the BBC.
