JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The man recently found guilty for a 2013 attempted murder received a 30-year sentence Thursday.

Deandes Young, 39, was sentenced Thursday to 30-years in prison for two counts of second-degree attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting or throwing deadly missiles, officials said.

Young was found guilty of the charges Sunday.

The two victims in the incident were driving down Almeda Street in January 2013 when Young pulled out a gun and began shooting at them, the State Attorney's Office said. The vehicle was struck by gunfire as the victims fled.
