Young mother dies in Waycross house fire

WAYCROSS, Ga. – The state fire marshal is investigating a fire in Waycross, Georgia that left one woman dead Tuesday night.

Neighbors said the victim, identified as Melissa Rose, 32, was a mother, but had been living alone recently.

Firefighters said the house suffered about $47,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined yet, but officials do not believe it was anything suspicious.
