JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and a woman were hurt in a chain-reaction crash near the Duclay area late Monday night.

Investigator believe a drunk driver caused the crash.

The officer involved in the crash was taken to Orange Park Medical Center for an evaluation and has since been released. The woman was also taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

JSO reports the incident began with an accident involving two cars on Blanding Boulevard. As two officers were investigating the crash, a pickup truck then hit the back of an officer's cruiser and a pickup truck that was involved in the first crash. The impact caused one of the cars in the first crash to hit a woman who was standing next to it, knocking her to the ground.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
