Police investigate smash and grab at World Golf Village

Car windows smashed, stuff stolen


ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple car break-ins at the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort Tuesday morning.

SJCSO said eight cars had their windows smashed out overnight and stuff stolen from them.

There was no surveillance of the break-ins, but security discovered the smash and grab happened between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The cars belonged to guests staying at the hotel.

Deputies took evidence but have no suspects at this time.

All of the cars have been vacated from the parking lot.
