Deputies: Man robs Orange Park auto parts store at gunpoint

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who robbed an auto parts store in Orange Park at gunpoint Sunday morning, authorities said.

It happened about 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Advanced Discount Auto Parts on Blanding Boulevard.

Surveillance video from inside the store shows the man held two employees and two customers at gunpoint, demanding money from the registers and the safe, deputies said.

He ran from the store with a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash before getting into a car parked nearby, deputies said. 

No injuries were reported. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, the robber is described as a black man about 25 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol and wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and black jeans, investigators said.

An employee told News4Jax that the man may have been wearing a wig underneath the hat.
