Police: Man shot in shoulder near ATM

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 32-year-old man was shot in the shoulder early Monday morning in Northwest Jacksonville after getting money out of an ATM, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The man was taken to nearby UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found the victim and his brother just before 4:30 a.m. at Barnett and West 5th streets after getting a call of a person being shot.

The victim, whose name was not released, told police he had gotten money out of a nearby ATM and was walking to a store with his brother when shots were fired from a nearby apartment complex.

According to the incident report, the victim was not cooperative.
