Super Mario Bros. corn maze shows up on NY farm

Farm uses different theme every year

A farm in New York has just unveiled its newest themed corn maze: A scene depicting characters from Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. video game.

ABC News reports the maze covers almost eight acres across Stoughton Farm in Newark Valley, New York.

Tim Stoughton said his wife, Deb, decides the theme, which is different every year.

"She just liked the idea of the Mario brothers because everybody pretty much knows what they are and it'd be fun for the kids to see," said Stoughton.

So, what goes into a project of this size? Stoughton says it usually takes a few weeks and "a lot of math."

According to Stoughton, the family farm attracts around 10,000 visitors per year.
