I want to be remembered as the commissioner that actually listened to the voters. A commissioner that was accessible at all times no matter what the issue is. I'm going to be elected by the people, so I'll work for the people! "Breaking Barriers, Building Futures."

Scarlet Parnell Frisina

Age: 37

Candidate's family: Ward Anthony Frisina, husband of 17 years. Children: Caitlyn Morgan Frisina - 16yo, Chandler Ward Frisina, 13yo.

Occupation: Full-time County Commissioner, small farm - beef cattle, meat goats, timber, and family owned Forestry Consulting Business.

Education: Associates Degree

Political experience: Columbia County Commissioner - District 5 - 7 1/2 years

What do you see as the top three issues in this race?
Although other candidates and some media have attempted to make up issues, I don't see our race as having any. However, as the District 5 Commissioner, I will:
1.) continue to work at maintaining fiscal responsibility
2.) continue to pursue economic growth and jobs creation, and
3.) continue to work to provide our citizens with valued essential services and programs.

How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?
I am the only candidate with the experience needed to continue to lead Columbia County. Whether it is meeting with folks about a neighborhood issue, making tough decisions for them on the board, or taking their concerns to Tallahassee, I have worked hard for our County and District 5. As the only full-time commissioner, I will continue to make myself available, working with citizens, helping them get answers to their questions and solutions to their particular issues.

What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?
So much of what a commissioner can/can't do in a community is contingent upon economics and cooperation with other board members. At the end of the day, I want constituents to say, "she loves our community and worked really hard for it, she always communicated well with her district, returning calls and meeting folks at their convenience to help find solutions, AND she was down-to-earth, pleasant and she treated everyone with respect."
