Police: Man threatens Family Dollar employee with gun, robs store

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man robbed a Family Dollar at gunpoint Thursday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at 5417 Beach Blvd. at 9:45 a.m.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify the man who placed a firearm to an employee’s back and forced her to open the registers and safe.

The man, who was caught on surveillance video, was given money and walked out of the business, police said.
