ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A 33-year-old man was arrested after stabbing two people at a St. Augustine home Tuesday, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.

Covoz Vonte Byrd, 33, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery.

Deputies said they responded just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to a residence on Colee Street after receiving a report of a "disturbance" involving two people who suffered stab wounds.

Both victims were taken to Flagler Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one of the victims underwent surgery, deputies said.

Investigators said Byrd was later brought in for questioning and then arrested.

Byrd was booked into the St. Johns County Jail.
