GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A man was sentenced Tuesday to two life terms in prison after being convicted in a child sex case.
According to the Office of the State Attorney, authorities learned in April 2015 of a history of sexual abuse between Troy Mitchell Tuten, 45, and two child victims.
Officials said investigators learned that Tuten touched and forced a girl to perform inappropriate sexual acts on him on multiple occasions starting at the age of 10. They said he also exposed himself to a boy on more than one occasion.
Tuten was convicted last month of three counts of sexual battery, one count of attempted capital sexual battery, one count of lewd or lascivious molestation, one count of lewd or lascivious conduct and two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition.
