Masked man holds up St. Augustine Family Dollar store

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Family Dollar store on State Road 16 was robbed Monday night by a masked man who demanded money.

St. Johns County Sheriff's Office detectives said a possibly Hispanic man entered about 9 p.m. who walked up to the counter and produced a note demanding money. The employee handed the robber an undisclosed amount of cash before he left the store on foot in an eastbound direction.

The robber was described as wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, hat and some type of mask covering his face. The employee also reported that the robber had tattoos on the top of his hands.
