Titusville bank robbery leads to fatal officer-involved shooting

Police say bank robber killed

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Titusville police say one person is dead after an officer-involved shooting that was sparked by a bank robbery Wednesday morning, according to police.

The incident began about 10:50 a.m. after patrol officers responded to the Bank of America at the intersection of Harrison Street and Barna Avenue for an armed robbery call, Florida Today reported.

Police said the culprit in the armed bank robbery is deceased and that the officer is not hurt. 

No other details were immediately available.
