Officials: 2 Lee High students arrested after stun gun found on campus

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two Lee High School students were arrested Monday after a Taser was found on school property, Duval County Public Schools officials said. 

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office incident report, the Lee High School resource officer was told that one student was chasing another in the halls with a stun gun. 

The investigation led the officer to a 16-year-old girl, who had the stun gun in her purse, the Sheriff's Office said.

She was arrested on a charge of possession of a weapon on school grounds.

A 15-year-old boy was identified as the student chasing another student with the stun gun, police said.

He was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon on school property and aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony.
