According to FHP, a silver Toyota Tacoma traveling north on U.S. 17 veered onto the grassy shoulder for unknown reasons. The driver then over-corrected, causing the pickup truck to cross the center median and collide with a silver Ford F-150 traveling southbound, the incident report said.

The Tacoma overturned and the 34-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle. She was airlifted to Orange Park Medical Center in critical condition, troopers said.

The driver and passenger in the F-150 were not injured, troopers said.

FHP continues to investigate.
