JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A federal grand jury has indicted a 39-year-old Jacksonville man accused of promoting, managing and carrying on a prostitution business.

According to the indictment, between June 30 and July 31, 2016, John R. Biggerstaff used a cell phone, "a facility of interstate commerce," to carry on a business enterprise that involved prostitution in violation of applicable Florida laws.

United States Attorney Lee Bentley said Biggerstaff could face up to five years in federal prison if convicted on all charges.
