Police searching for 3 suspects in red SUV

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are searching for three men they say shot a man early Tuesday morning in Northwest Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to a home on West 12th Street, near Edgewood Park, at 5:40 a.m., where deputies found a man 18-25 years old who was shot. He was transported to UF Health Jacksonville. His name and condition were not released.

Police are searching for three suspects they believe are in a red SUV.

" We're piecing things together but that's what we feel what occurred is that the individuals shot at him from the roadway," said Lt. Sircar with JSO.

News4Jax looked into the crime in the area using JSO's crime mapping system. In the last 6 motnhs in a 1/2 mile radius, there was 1 murder on west 19th street and 17 assults.
