Dogs, cats up for free adoptions this weekend
Jacksonville Humane Society partners with Petco for free event
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Humane Society is partnering with Petco to bring free pet adoptions to Jacksonville this weekend.
The event, called “Fall in Love,” is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at two locations.
JHS, located at 8464 Beach Blvd., and Petco, located at 11900 Atlantic Blvd., we be hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
The event will feature a wide selection of adoptable dogs, cats and kittens from the Jacksonville Humane Society.
Pet adoption fees are $0 and all pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Adopters looking for small dogs, puppies and kittens are encouraged to arrive early. A $20 city license fee may apply.
“JHS is very thankful for the support from Petco in providing an additional location to find new homes for our animals,” said Denise Deisler, executive director of the Jacksonville Humane Society. “It’s a fantastic way to double our efforts in keeping Jacksonville a no-kill city.”
