The search has ended in Broward Country for a man suspected of taking Lee Parish, 3.

Broward County Sheriff's deputies say the suspect involved in an Amber Alert is now in custody and Parish is safe.

In a news release, detectives said William Rogers, 27, drove to the Valero Gas Station at 2400 W. Sunrise Boulevard with the boyfriend of the boy's mother at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The child was asleep in the backseat.

According to deputies, Rogers drove off shortly after the boyfriend got out of the car to pump gas, heading southbound on Northwest 24th Avenue.

Rogers was believed to be driving a 2013 Burgundy Ford Fusion with the Florida tag number, GYXL63.
