Police: Man shot in Arlington Manor drive-by

Man taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was injured Monday evening in a drive-by shooting in the city's Arlington Manor neighborhood, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. 

The man told police that he was walking along Justina Road near Holly Bell Drive just before 9:30 p.m. when he heard a car behind him and then two shots. 

Investigators said the man realized he had been struck by one of the gunshots and went to call for help after the dark-colored sedan sped away.

He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
