Woman missing located in remote area of Virginia


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a 79-year-old Ribault-area woman reported missing after leaving for dinner Thursday and never returned was located safe in a remote area of Virginia.

Doris Williams was believed to e driving a 2013 Gray Dodge Caravan and wearing a pink/peach night gown.

Just after 3 a.m. Friday, Williams was seen at the Flash Food gas station in Callahan, Florida on U.S. 1. After purchasing gas, she was seen heading south on State Road 200 toward State Road 301, police said.

Early Saturday morning, police announced that she was located in Virginia and family was headed there to be reunited with her.
