JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A crash early Sunday morning seriously injured three people and shut down all lanes of Beach Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police were called around 2:45 a.m. to the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Carmichael Avenue after a van collided with a truck in the intersection.

The two people in the van and the driver of the truck were taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Due to the extent of the injuries, traffic homicide is investigating the crash.
All lanes of Beach Boulevard were closed until almost 7 a.m.
