FRUIT COVE, Fla. – A St. Johns County 15-year-old who went missing nearly a week ago was returned safely to her family Saturday, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.
Carly Grimes was found in Jacksonville and returned to her family after missing from her home in Fruit Cove last Sunday, deputies said.

Grimes was reported as a runaway early the next morning by her family, deputies said.
Further investigation revealed that Grimes made concerning remarks to a friend via social media, but that information was not provided to law enforcement until Wednesday.
