Jacksonville woman wins $1M in scratch-off game
Winner purchased lottery ticket from Prime Time Supermarket on Kings Road
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Shirley Hayward of Jacksonville claimed a $1 million prize in the $10 million Florida Cash scratch-off game at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, lottery officials announced Thursday.
Hayward chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $726,003. She purchased her winning ticket from Prime Time Supermarket at 1548 Kings Road.
The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $25 game features more than 11 million winning tickets and more than $624 million in total cash prizes.
