Incoming Clay County sheriff names Angela Corey to staff

As Clay County Sheriff-elect Darryl Daniels prepares to take office on Jan. 2, he is making key appointments. Among those who will be working in his administration is outgoing State Attorney Angela Corey, who will become general counsel for the Sheriff's Office.

“Ms. Corey is the subject matter expert when it comes to the application of the law and conveying that to law enforcement," Daniels said. "She will bring her more than 30 years of experience as a prosecutor to conduct extensive training for mid-managers, supervisors and deputies on properly applying probable cause to affect lawful arrests."
