School bus driver charged with careless driving following crash

Union County school bus strikes back of vehicle at stoplight, FHP says

UNION COUNTY, Fla. – A Union County school bus driver was charged with careless driving following a crash Tuesday morning at State roads 121 and 231.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bus, driven by Marsha Buchanan, 47, was stopped behind a Mazda CX-9, driven by Sandra Watts, 34, at a stoplight.

Troopers said the bus, filled with 35 students, slowly rolled forward, striking the back of the Mazda, leaving both vehicles with minor damages.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
